Cyberheist City — the heist you'll want to run again

Pragmatic Play finally made a slot that looks like a scene from Cyberpunk 2077. Neon streets, masked hackers, collector drones, and safes with multipliers up to x100. Cyberheist City dropped in 2025 and immediately stood out from the sea of generic fruit slots.

I ran 500+ demo spins. First 200 were quiet — base game fed me scraps. Then a 4-scatter bonus hit, the drone cracked 5 safes, and I walked away with 340x. Second bonus was modest — 85x. But the third... a Wild-hacker with x5 multiplier landed on a line with already-cracked safes, and I saw 1,750x. That's the kind of moment that keeps you spinning.

Ways mechanics with variable paylines, 96.50% RTP, max win x5000. Two bonus buy options — standard at 100x and Mega Heist at 250x. Fire up the demo above and pull off your first heist.

The unfiltered truth — pros and cons

Pros

  • AAA-level visuals — neon, holograms, drones everywhere
  • Ways mechanics give thousands of win combinations per spin
  • Safes with multipliers up to x100 make bonuses genuinely exciting
  • Wild-hacker with x2-x5 multiplier can multiply entire line wins
  • Two bonus buy tiers for any budget

Cons

  • x5000 cap feels low for a cyberpunk slot — x10000 would fit better
  • Casinos can silently set RTP to 94.50% — always verify
  • Dry runs of 250+ spins between bonuses test your patience
  • Mega Heist at 250x means £250 at £1 bet — serious commitment

Ways mechanics — why every spin feels different

Unlike standard fixed-line slots, this one has 5 reels with variable height. The number of Ways changes every spin — sometimes 243, sometimes more. Bets run from €0.20 to €100. Wins count on matching symbols across adjacent reels left to right. The taller the reels on a given spin, the more paths to a win.

Symbol payouts — who pays what

Cyber Eyex0.5x3x15

Wild is the masked hacker in neon. Substitutes everything except Scatter and bonus symbols. But here's the key feature — it can land with a multiplier from x2 to x5. If two Wild-hackers with multipliers hit the same payline, their values are MULTIPLIED together. Two hackers with x3 and x5 = x15 total multiplier on that entire line win.

Heist mechanics — safes, drones and chaos

How to trigger the bonus

Standard entry: 3+ scatters and you're in. Number of free spins depends on scatter count:

  • 3 Scatters = 10 spins — minimum, but still room to work
  • 4 Scatters = 15 spins — comfortable for collecting safes
  • 5 Scatters = 20 spins — every hacker's dream

Safes — where the money hides

During the bonus, safes appear on the reels with multipliers from x2 to x100. Each cracked safe adds its multiplier to your total. In my best bonus, I collected 7 safes — two at x5, one at x20, and four smaller ones. Total multiplier hit x47, and that was without the drone. With the drone, it would've been even bigger.

Collector drone — press and grab everything

The drone is like a golden tuna on steroids. Appears randomly and instantly cracks ALL safes on screen. Every multiplier gets added to your win at once. If 4-5 safes have accumulated with x5-x20 multipliers when the drone appears — that's x100+ from a single spin.

Two bonus buy options

Pick your budget:

  • Free Spins (100x) — standard bonus with 3+ scatters. At £1 bet, that's £100 to enter
  • Mega Heist (250x) — enhanced bonus with boosted safe multipliers. At the same bet — £250. Risky, but the ceiling is much higher

Three RTP versions — don't let the casino short-change you

Pragmatic Play gives casinos three RTP settings to choose from. Guess which one many of them pick? Exactly — the lowest. Always check before every session.

95.50% Standard
Avoid 94.50% Reduced

How to Check RTP

  1. Open game in casino
  2. Click "i" or menu
  3. Find "Theoretical Return"
  4. Look for 96.50%

If you see 94.50% — leave immediately. Over 1,000 spins at £1, the difference between 96.50% and 94.50% is roughly £20. That's real money the casino takes from you beyond the standard house edge.

Volatility is high — 4 out of 5. In my testing, bonuses landed roughly once every 140-160 spins. I had streaks of 250 spins without a single scatter — nerve-wracking stuff. But one lucky bonus with a drone and Wild multipliers covers the entire dry spell. That's life in Cyberheist City.

What I learned after 500 test spins

RNG means no strategies exist — but after extensive testing, I picked up a few observations worth sharing.

Count safes, not spins

In the bonus, the number of safes determines everything. If 3+ safes appear in the first 5 spins, the bonus is likely going to be solid. If you're halfway through with no safes — brace for disappointment. My best bonuses started with 2-3 safes in the first three spins.

Wild-hacker multipliers MULTIPLY, not add

This is crucial: Wild multipliers don't stack additively — they multiply each other. Two Wilds with x3 = x9. Wild x2 + Wild x5 = x10. That's why a single spin with two hackers on a payline can outpay the rest of the bonus combined. My 1,750x hit came from exactly this — two Wilds with x5 and x3.

Mega Heist — only with a healthy bankroll

250x is serious money. At £1 bet, you're paying £250. At £2, that's £500. Only buy if you can lose that amount without stress. Of my two Mega Heist purchases, one returned 180x (a £70 loss at £1), the other hit 1,750x.

Demo first — always

Fire up the demo at the top of this page. Spin 100 rounds, catch a bonus, see how safes and drones interact. It's free and will save you money by understanding the mechanics before betting real cash.

Cyberheist City vs the competition

How does Cyberheist City stack up against other heist-themed and Ways slots:

Slot RTP Volatility Max Win Bonus Feature
Cyberheist City Cyberheist City
96.50% x5,000 100x / 250x Safes
The Great Stick-up The Great Stick-up
96.54% x5,000 100x Heist
Wild West Gold Megaways Wild West Gold MW
96.48% x5,000 100x Megaways

My verdict

The Great Stick-up and Wild West Gold Megaways are worthy competitors, but Cyberheist City wins on visuals — the neon aesthetic is on another level. Safe mechanics with the drone are more engaging than standard free spins from rivals. Plus two bonus buy tiers give you flexibility. If you love cyberpunk and can handle high volatility — this is your slot.

Common questions about Cyberheist City

What RTP do casinos actually give you?

Maximum is 96.50%, but casinos can set it to 95.50% or 94.50%. Open the game, go to the menu ("i" button), find "Theoretical Return." If it's below 96.50% — find a different casino. A 2% difference costs you real money over time.

Is x5000 realistic or just marketing?

Theoretically possible, but requires a perfect bonus: loads of safes with high multipliers, a drone, and Wild-hackers with x5. In 500 spins, my best was 1,750x. Hitting x5000 would take an extraordinary alignment of luck.

What's the difference between regular bonus and Mega Heist?

Mega Heist (250x) gives an enhanced bonus: safes contain higher multipliers, and the drone appears more frequently. Regular bonus (100x) has standard multipliers. Mega Heist potential is 2-3x higher, but so is the risk.

How does the drone change the bonus?

The drone instantly cracks every safe on screen. If 4-5 safes have accumulated with x5-x20 multipliers when it appears, that's x100+ from a single spin. Without the drone, safes open one by one — much slower payout buildup.

Can I try it for free?

Yes, the demo is right on this page — button at the top. Same algorithms as the real money version, only winnings are virtual. I recommend at least 100 spins to properly see the mechanics.

Is this a Megaways slot?

No — it's a Ways slot with variable lines, but NOT officially licensed Megaways from Big Time Gaming. The mechanics are similar — number of Ways changes each spin — but it's a different license.

Playing at £1.50 bets across four sessions, put in about £600 total. First three sessions were brutal — bonuses paid £45, £72, and £130. Barely keeping afloat. Fourth session changed everything. Bought the Mega Heist for £375, drone landed on spin 5 with 5 safes on screen (one was x50). Then two Wild-hackers with x3 each hit the same line. Final payout was £2,870. Best single bonus I've had in months on any slot. The cyberpunk atmosphere is genuinely immersive — the music, the neon reflections, even the sound effects when safes crack. Only gripe: base game is dead boring between bonuses. 200+ spins of nothing gets old. But when the heist pays off, nothing else comes close.
