The Princess, Supercharged: x1,000 Multipliers and x15,000 Cap

Pragmatic took their anime hit and did what they do best — cranked up the multipliers. Starlight Princess 1000 dropped in March 2024, and the formula is straightforward: everything stays the same, but the princess orbs now reach x1,000 instead of x500. The win cap jumps from x5,000 to x15,000.

Visually? Identical to the original. Same princess, same pastel palette, same relaxing soundtrack. But when a x500 orb lands next to a x200 during a bonus round... you feel the difference instantly. This isn't the gentle original — this is a slot with serious potential.

Mechanics are unchanged: 6x5 grid, Pay Anywhere (8+ matching symbols anywhere), Tumble cascades, Ante Bet. RTP nudged up slightly to 96.53% from 96.50%. Still no Wild symbols.

Hit the free demo button above to try it yourself. The difference between x500 and x1,000 orbs is something you need to experience firsthand.

Worth Upgrading? Honest Breakdown

What's Better

  • Multiplier cap doubled to x1,000 — twice the original
  • Max win tripled to x15,000 (was x5,000)
  • RTP 96.53% — marginally higher (0.03%, but still)
  • Bonus cascades with stacking multipliers = huge potential
  • Ante Bet still works and speeds up bonus triggers

What They Don't Tell You

  • Base game is literally identical to the original
  • Higher variance means longer dry spells
  • Many casinos run the 94% RTP version — always check
  • Still no Wild symbols — can feel unusual for newcomers
  • Bonus buy at 100x isn't cheap

Same 6x5 Grid, Different Ceiling

If you've played the original, everything looks familiar. Six reels, five rows, 30 positions. Bets from $0.20 to $125 ($156.25 with Ante Bet). Pay Anywhere mechanics — no paylines needed, just land 8+ matching symbols anywhere on screen.

Symbols — No Surprises

Exactly the same as the original. Four premium symbols (crown, heart, hourglass, star) and four low-pay gems. Payouts for 8-12+ matches:

  • Crown: 2x to 50x — your main source of big wins
  • Heart: 1.5x to 25x
  • Hourglass: 1x to 20x
  • Star: 0.5x to 15x
  • Gems (red/purple/green/blue): 0.25x to 10x

Scatter is the shimmering princess star. 4+ of them trigger free spins. No Wilds. All the juice comes from multipliers.

Tumble: Cascades and Stacking

Winning symbols vanish, new ones tumble down — standard Tumble mechanic. But here's the crucial detail: multipliers from the princess stack during cascades. First cascade adds x10, second adds x50, third adds x200 = total x260 applied to your combined win. That's how you hit x15,000.

x1,000 Multipliers: The Main Event

What Actually Changed

In the original, max princess orb = x500. Here it's x1,000. That's the only change, but it's the one that matters. The princess drops numbered orbs (x2, x3, x5, x8, x10, x15, x25... up to x1,000) randomly during any cascade.

Key mechanic: multipliers stack. Get x50 on the first cascade, x100 on the second, x200 on the third — total multiplier is x350, applied to all wins in the sequence. In the base game, everything resets each spin. In the bonus, multipliers carry over spin to spin.

My best demo result: x380 accumulated multiplier in a single bonus round. With a full crown cascade on the final spin, that would've been x4,000+. Unfortunately, it was gems that time.

Free Spins — 15 Spins with Accumulation

4+ Scatters (shimmering star) trigger the bonus:

  • 4 Scatters = 15 free spins
  • 5 Scatters = 15 spins + starting multipliers
  • 6 Scatters = 15 spins + boosted starting multipliers

3+ Scatters during the bonus = retrigger (+5 spins). Retriggers are unlimited. All multipliers carry over from spin to spin — that's where the x15,000 potential lives. One fat x500+ orb at the end of a bonus can turn an average round into something massive.

Ante Bet: +25% for Double the Chances

Turn on Ante Bet and your stake rises 25%, but Scatter frequency doubles. From my experience: with Ante Bet, bonuses land roughly every 120-150 spins. Without it, more like 200-250. That's based on 1,000+ demo spins, not official stats.

Buy Bonus: 100x Instant Access

Don't want to wait 200 spins? Pay 100x your bet and get guaranteed 4+ Scatters. At a $1 bet, that's $100 per entry. Risky, but roughly every second bonus returns 50x+, so the expected value is approximately neutral.

96.53% — Always Check Before You Play

On paper, the RTP is marginally higher than the original — 96.53% vs 96.50%. The difference is negligible. What actually matters is whether your casino is running the full version at all. Three variants exist:

95.00% Standard
Avoid 94.00% Reduced

How to Check RTP Before Playing

  1. Open the game at your chosen casino
  2. Click the "i" (info) or "☰" (menu) button
  3. Find the "Game Rules" or "Theoretical Return" section
  4. Verify the RTP is 96.53%

Seeing 94% or 95%? Walk away. Over 2,000 spins at $1, the difference between 96.53% and 94% is roughly $50 in extra losses. That adds up fast.

Volatility is 5/5 on Pragmatic's scale, same as the original. But it feels harsher in practice: the base game delivers the same small wins, while all the real potential is concentrated in bonus rounds with large multipliers. Expect dry spells of 150-250 spins — that's normal for this slot.

My Test: 200 Spins Original vs 200 Spins 1000

I ran both versions side by side in demo mode with Ante Bet enabled, 200 spins each at $1.

Original Results (200 Spins)

First bonus hit on spin 89. Multipliers: x15, x25, x8, x40. Total x88 — a mediocre round. Second bonus on spin 187: x100, x50, x10. Total x160, but the cascade was mostly gems. Final win roughly x580. Balance at the end: down 18% from starting bankroll.

1000 Version Results (200 Spins)

Bonus came later — spin 134. But what a round: x200, x50, x100, then a retrigger! Another x150 and x25. Total multiplier x525, a crown cascade hit = x2,900 win. No second bonus in 200 spins. Balance: up 85% from start.

The Takeaway

The original gives bonuses more often and they're gentler — good for players who want consistency. The 1000 version is for those willing to sit through longer dry spells for one massive hit. Both are viable; it depends on your playstyle.

Ante Bet: Always On

On the 1000 version, I keep Ante Bet enabled at all times. Without it, the wait between bonuses stretches to 200+ spins, and at this volatility level, that's psychologically tough. The 25% increase in bet is a small price for doubled trigger chances.

Buy Bonus: 100x

At $1 bet = $100 per entry. If you're playing seriously and don't want to wait — it works. But keep in mind: roughly every third bonus can be "dead" (x20-x40 total). That's normal — the big wins compensate over time.

x15,000 Potential: Win Calculator

The cap tripled compared to the original. Enter your bet and see what that means in real numbers:

Minimum Win €0.20 x0.2
Average Win €50.00 x50
Maximum Win €15000.00 x15,000

All Pragmatic "1000" Slots Compared

Pragmatic has released several slots in the 1000 series. Here's how Starlight Princess 1000 stacks up against the competition and the original:

Slot RTP Volatility Max Win Bonus Special Feature
Starlight Princess 1000 Starlight Princess 1000
96.53% x15,000 100x Princess multipliers up to x1,000
Starlight Princess Starlight Princess (original)
96.50% x5,000 100x Multipliers up to x500
Gates of Olympus 1000 Gates of Olympus 1000
96.50% x15,000 100x Zeus multipliers up to x1,000
Sweet Bonanza 1000 Sweet Bonanza 1000
96.53% x25,000 100x Bomb multipliers up to x1,024

My Verdict

Starlight Princess 1000 is the sweet spot of the series. Gates of Olympus 1000 is essentially the same slot with Zeus instead of the princess (purely aesthetic preference). Sweet Bonanza 1000 is more aggressive — x25,000 cap, but dead bonuses hit harder. The original Starlight Princess is gentler, delivers medium bonuses more frequently, but the x5,000 ceiling starts feeling cramped quickly. For fans of the anime aesthetic who want serious potential — the 1000 version is the optimal choice.

Common Questions About the 1000 Version

Should I switch from the original to the 1000?

Depends on your style. The original is gentler — bonuses come more often, but the cap is x5,000. The 1000 version has less frequent bonuses but x15,000 potential and multipliers up to x1,000. If you can handle longer dry streaks for bigger payoffs — yes, make the switch.

Is the RTP really higher?

Technically yes — 96.53% vs 96.50%. The 0.03% difference is practically invisible. Far more important is making sure your casino isn't using the reduced version (94% or 95%). Check in the game menu before you start.

How often does the bonus trigger?

Without Ante Bet — roughly every 200-250 spins. With Ante Bet (+25% stake increase) — approximately every 120-150 spins. Buy Bonus costs 100x your bet for instant access.

Does the x1,000 multiplier actually appear?

Yes, but extremely rarely. In 1,000+ demo spins I've seen x500 as my highest. The x1,000 is a statistical possibility that defines the x15,000 ceiling. A realistic big win is more like x3,000-x5,000.

Is there a Super Bonus or extra modes?

No. Unlike Sweet Bonanza 1000, there's no Super Bonus here. Just the regular bonus with 15 free spins, retriggers, and multiplier accumulation. Ante Bet and Buy Bonus are the only additional options.

Can I try it for free?

Yes, the free demo is available right on this page — hit the button at the top. The demo version uses virtual credits but is mechanically identical to the real-money game.

Played the original for about a year before making the switch. The 1000 version is basically the same game until you hit the bonus — then everything changes. Had three bonus buys last weekend at £1.25 bet. First one was rubbish: x32, barely any orbs at all. Second was decent — x200 orb on spin 3, then x100 on spin 7, total came out around x890. Third one was my best ever on this slot: retrigger on spin 8, then a x500 orb dropped on spin 12. Crown cascade right after that = £4,100 from a £125 buy. Mental. The flip side is I probably spent £600 on dead bonuses before that session. It balances out but it's a wild ride. Tip: ALWAYS check your RTP. My original casino was running 94.50% and I only found out after two months. Switched immediately.
